Discouraged...

I have been in a relationship for almost 2 years now.. we have talked about marriage and both agree that next year we would get married. We have a date set and everything but he hasnt proposed yet. I was hoping for Christmas, then New Years, then Valentine's Day.. on Valentine's Day he told me that he wants to wait a few more years. Telling me that it will be better for us if we wait. Most of our friends are engaged and getting married.. I feel discouraged, that it's going to be 5 years or so before he proposes. I love him and I can't imagine not being with him the rest of my life.
