what's next?!

Ok so when I do get my BFP....what do I do next? Who do I call? Do I go to an OB/GYN right away or my family doctor for a blood test?

I'd say start with your obgyn - they'll do all the necessary tests, I would think a primary care doc visit would be a waste of time and money bc you'll have to see your ob anyway and I would think an ob would be more able to spot any early issues like low progesterone that a primary might miss

I'm curious too. I would have called my obgyn.. I see her more often then my primary.

Depends where you are. In Ontario the midwife told me when I get a position on a stick to call and make an appointment with them, no need to go to family doctor. They then sent me for blood test after first appointment (6 -8 weeks pregnant) and dating ultrasound around 7-8 week.

For me and my first pregnancy I called my family doctor and they saw me at 12 weeks. You just sit back and impatiently wait. I've since had multiple miscarriage so I will be seen at 6 weeks and had a couple blood draws done.
