My daughter is 14 month, and she will only fall asleep in my/my husbands arms, or if I lay with her and hug her or hold her hand. I tried to make her go to sleep by herself since day 1, but she would scream bloody murder and I can't handle that so I end up picking her up or letting her hold my hand... the problem is, she still wakes up 2-3 times at night and needs to be held to be back to sleep... this is the reason I stopped breastfeeding, and she isn't interested in milk in a cup/bottle until morning... so I guess she just wakes up to cuddle with mommy? But I'm so tired :( my husband started waking up and putting her back to sleep, but I just want her to be able to fall asleep alone during the night... is crying it out the only way to teach her do that? Or will she outgrow it by some age?
