appropriate times?

Me and my boyfriend are having a baby, I'm currently 7weeks 3days, parents already know and brothers and sisters. I'm due an appointment at 9weeks 3days (first ever one!!).

When did people start telling friends etc? We know it's still early days, we've been told the 12 week mark is most appropriate.

Tell your friends that you would be comfortable telling if it was bad news. Or  wait until the scan. I've had a early scan and seen the heartbeat but I'm only 7 weeks almost 8, I'm not telling friends until 12 weeks as I have unfortunately had 2 miscarriages one which was a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks. I'm 4w 6d. We went ahead and told family that we see often (partially because they asked)  and a couple very close friends,  but don't plan on telling everyone until closer to 12 weeks.  It works out well because 12 weeks should be very close to our first wedding anniversary :)

My husband and I waited until 14 weeks with our first, I got my Down syndrome screening at 13 1/2 weeks and then met with the doctor to go over results at 14 weeks and she gave us the all clear to post as we were out of the most dangerous part

Honestly, if you're nine weeks I'd say go for it! You're past the danger zone so why not? 😊
