ferret and babies???

Question

Does anyone have a pet ferret, and are they safe to be around newborn babies? I read articles of ferrets eating babies, but I have never had a baby or child around my ferret. I love my ferret but I want the best for my baby too.  😰

I would NOT let a ferret anywhere near a newborn or infant. Even the cute nice ones can be vicious. They have nails and sharp teeth. 
I had ferrets before. . Nice ones. .and still got bit every now and then. 
I trust my doberman better than a ferret

I had a ferret when my first son was born. Never had any issues.

I have a ferret.  We got him when my daughter a year and  half though . Ours is as sweet as can be and is in his cage securely at all times except when he's out to play.
