Drink Until it's Pink

So I'm wondering how everyone feels about how one should behave in the 2 week wait and the effects such behavior can have...I'm 38, been trying for more than 2 years and for a very long time I lived like a saint after ovulation. At some point I got tired of such behavior - a girlfriend (with 4 beautiful children), used the phrase "drink until it's pink" - meaning behave as you always would until your HGC levels are high enough to detect pregnancy (her thought was nothing really affects the fetus until its at the point of pregnancy test detection). What do you ladies think???
