7 weeks on Sunday, shall I start telling people other than close family yet?

At first I planned to put it off and see people saying waiting is best but from being on this app I have heard so many stories of people losing babies at 12, 15, and even 19 weeks...then there are the heart wrenching stories of babies born asleep. My thought was I would rather tell family and friends who have been praying for us that we are pregnant  now and break bad news later if need be than have them find out I was pregnant because I had a miscarriage. This is a personal decision and there is no right or wrong answer. I have a coworker who almost canceled her shower because she was having serious complications at 28 weeks. I get the whole percentage thing but someone ends up being the one percent and I personally worked too hard for this to hide it. We didn't tell family until about 7 weeks but I'll be 9 weeks Tuesday and we're telling aunts and uncles and some friends tonight. I plan to announce on social media at 11 weeks on my birthday. To each their own.

If you are comfortable telling everyone that you had a miscarriage (god forbid that happened) then go for it. Otherwise maybe just tell people who would be there for you if anything happens.

I told close family at 5 weeks. I couldn't wait any longer to tell my mom. I didn't announce on social media until 11 weeks after I had my first scan

It's really up to you. Most women wait until the end or close to the end of first Trimester, to avoid a sudden change. Once you're done first trimester the risk of miscarriage goes down to less than 1%! If you're comfortable telling now then go ahead! There's nothing wrong with being excited ❤
