Fiancé taking the wives last name

I am getting married this summer and have started to strongly consider keeping my last name and possibly changing our sons to mine as well, my husband isn't opposed.. in fact he wants to change his last name to mine.. he has a daughter from a previous relationship with his current last name so I expressed my concern for that. I understand he is a grown man and will ultimately decide for himself. 

I just wanted some input from a larger community outside our friends and family.
