Tampon soaked in plain yogurt?

So I'm pretty sure I have a yeast infection and I've heard that monistat is really painful so I was looking up other ways to treat a yeast infection and heard of you soak a tampon in plain yogurt and insert it then it kills the yeast...anyone tried that or know any other remedies? Or if you've used monistat, is it painful?

I've used Monistat a few times, it's not painful but you have to wear a pad afterwards because the medicine leaks out.

I've used Monostat 1 a few times, it hardly burns and is only a bit uncomfortable. I usually use it right before bed so I can sleep through it doing its job. I'd suggest doing it before bed if you can so if it does burn you won't be awake to feel it.

Please please please don't use a yogurt soaked tampon. That sounds like it'll make it a million times worse.

I used the inserts ...instant relief just make sure you're going to be laying down afterwards because it'll leak . Read the instructions bc once I used the cream the wrong way and it burnt.
