Am I overreacting?

Question

So I just read one of the posts about how much are you feeding your 6 month old in breastmilk. Most mom's are saying at least 30 Oz. I'm giving much less. My SO response was that I need to make more. Like I'm not trying already. I've said I've done everything. From teas to bars. I felt of course not good and he said I'm overreacting. Am i?

Is baby gaining weight? If baby is, then I wouldn't worry. My baby is ebf, and gets bottles of breast milk while I work. She gets 16 oz, during the day. I have no idea how much she gets otherwise. She is gaining well, so I'm not worried.

I don't pump very often so I don't actually have a way to measure what he's eating. But as long as your baby is gaining weight I think you're good. Some days my baby eats every 3 hours for 10-15 minutes. Some days he'll go 6 hours without eating and not act hungry at all. Every baby is different, and they are different from day to day. I wouldn't stress about it.

I recommend eating spinach so what I do is I use the spinach leaves as salad

Wow I'd tell my SO to eff off and "make the milk" his damn self. Don't worry about it, honestly I asked my son's Dr if I could cut back a little on his breastmilk since I'm having weight/hormone issues. The Dr was fine with doing more food. But really of you're stressed which it sounds like you might be due to no support, try to calm down and track what you're eating and how much water you have. Also I personally will have a non alcoholic beer at night and wake up with a ton of milk, worked better than the mothers milk for me. But tell him to be more supportive of you, it's not like we can just snap our fingers and our bodies magically produce more milk.

My son averages 10 oz in a 10 hour span but he's growing.

That was me, now she sleeps through the night and I get up to pump and I usually get 5oz and I feel so much better!

If baby is healthy and growing then don't worry about it! That negative feedback will only stress you out and you don't need that!
