8lb or 9lb babies??

Question

Anyone have a big baby who didnt fit newborn clothes?? We bought both but I just wanted to get some advice on clothing before thursday....thanks ladies!👍☺

Don't get a lot. Baby was 8lbs14oz 22" long and  was in newborn for like a week. You may still need some, just don't get a lot. Maybe just staples like white onesies and pajamas?

My last daughter was 8lbs 6oz and fit some newborn for about a week. lol This time around I bought a few newborn and the rest 0-3.

My son was 9lbs and 12oz when he was born! He skipped the newborn size and went straight into 0-3 months 🙂 For baby #2 we will just buy 0-3 months and not even bother with newborn because I wasted a lot of money the first time around...

It depends on torso length to be honest 😅 I have a long torso and short legs, my husband has a long torso and long legs, and my son has a long torso and long legs. My son was 8 lbs 12 oz, and literally nothing newborn fit him. I had a whole drawer full of newborn clothing too 😅
You never know for sure what baby is going to fit until baby is here, so when you deliver have at least one newborn sized outfit, and one 0-3 outfit to take baby home in. That way you won't have to worry if baby will fit or not 😊
Also, baby clothes are weird and my almost 6 month old has some 3-6 month clothing that doesn't fit at all, and some 0-3 month clothing that still has a few weeks - maybe even another month of wearability because sizing for every baby clothing brand is different. It's annoying.

my 7 yr old was nearly 9lb when he was born but i put him straight into 0-3months as newborn goes to 7 1/2 lb ish

My daughter was born 7 pounds and 7 ounces. She gained a pound within a few weeks and still fit her newborn clothes at 8 pounds and some odd ounces.
