Pregnant people know nothing.
I don't know about anyone else; but I absolutely cannot STAND when someone feels the need to tell me what it will be like when I have my baby.
If I see a toddler throwing a fit, someone feels like they need to say "Just wait! Your turn is coming!"
Like that's not something the ENTIRE world knows. Toddlers throw fits. I know this, even though I do not currently have one of my own yet.
If I cover my nose because I smell something bad, someone feels like they need to say "Oh aren't you in for a treat! Just wait for the diapers!"
Okay. If I wasn't pregnant, no one would say anything like that to me, but since I am everyone has to open their mouth and make it a joke. Because I don't want to smell rotten food or cat poop, that I'm not gonna be able to handle baby poop? I've changed countless amounts of diapers. Newborn-Potty training. I can handle the smell, but no one LIKES to smell it.
If I complain that I didn't sleep well last night, someone feels like they need to say "It'll get worse, why are you complaining now?"
Oooooooooh my God. It's like no matter what pregnant people do or say, it's wrong and we don't know what we're in for or that we don't know struggles until we've had the baby. It seems like people feel the need to point out the hard parts of motherhood to pregnant people. Why? Why has that always been a thing?
Maybe I'm just overreacting, cause you know that's what pregnant people do right?
I'm just so over it already. I wish we could mute people like that lol.
Sorry for the rant! 😂
