How soon can you have sex after a c section? mine was unplanned and had to have one i was 8cm dialated when i went in for a c section.

I think the average is 6 weeks depending on how your birth process went. Emergency c section after laboring or planned surgery. I labored and pushed for a little while before being taken in for an emergency c section so I was told to wait 6 weeks but didn't even get my drive back until around 7-8 weeks and even then, my incision freaks me out so I'm still waiting 😑

I think one of the points for waiting 6 weeks, even after a c section, is so that your cervix can close and heal back to normal! So if you were dilated to an 8 then I'd give it time

My husband and I waited 9 days after c section :) Completly up to you when you do. Just be safe and careful.

Mine was unplanned emergency. I got the ok for sex from my dr at my 3 week checkup.
