Should you take a liar/cheater back if they apologize

I DON'T KNOW WHAT WRONG WITH ME !!! I FEEL DUMB IF I TOOK HIM BACK. My ex cheated and lied about it, he cried and tells me he loves me but he thought I'd be the one to cheat when we were together. He loves me so much but I don't feel that way for him anymore, but I still care for him even if he did a douche thing to me.
