where will baby sleep? bassinet/cosleeper/crib?

Hello mamas,

I'm a new mommy to be and was wondering what you ladies will be doing for baby's sleeping arrangements? Will you have a bassinet or a cosleeper in your bedroom and then transfer over to a crib? Just a crib? Something else? Let me know!

We do a Rock n play then Pack n play with a bassinet then move to the crib usually around 5 months.

I had a bassinet for my first so she could be in my room and close to me but she was only in it for two months max so I'm not getting one this time. I think they're a waste of money. Baby #2 will be going straight in her own room in a crib :)

Bassinet, swing, bouncy seat, and portable cradle lol and then a crib for when he gets naps and is big enough to sleep for more than a few hours at a time. My oldest would only sleep in the bassinet for the first week then every week switched to other things lol thats why so many different options.

This is our first bub (due mid July) & we plan to have bassinet in our room for the first 6 weeks before transitioning to her nursery & cot.  Primary reason for this is my husband works 15hr days 6 x days per week with 3am starts so the poor guy doesn't survive on much sleep as it is.  So it'll be a fine balance for us but when we move bubs to her nursery, I feel reasonably comfortable with monitor & movement sensor.

I registered for a crib and a halo Bassinet so she can have a crib in her nursery and the Bassinet to sleep in my bedroom at night.
