IUD experience?

I'm getting my IUD placed march 7th can anyone who has had one for a little while or had one placed tell me their experience?

I got mine placed a few months ago. what I found the most  painful was getting my uteris measured. The actual insertion is pritty mild. I then had some bleeding for the rest of the day and it felt a bit funny so I took a nap but that's about it.  
Everyone experiences it differently though so I'd suggest praparing like it'll hurt and then be happily surprised if it doesn't.
