Can you fly while pregnant??

Me and my husband already planned a vacation in august before we found out I was pregnant ! I'm due the end of October. Would it be saving to fly or just drive ??

We are taking a flight in March when I will be 20 weeks. I already spoke to my doctor and she said there is no concern because I am not in any risk but advised me to drink tons of water and try to walk on the plane if I can and also to wear compression stockings because it really really helps with swelling. She explained that pregnant woman's blood is actually thicker than when we are not pregnant so that's why swelling is so common and that it can get really bad on airplanes so I could just be uncomfortable but in no danger

I read the title and thought you meant fly like a bird. I'm like, if we can this is news to me! 😂 check with your airline and see up to what week they allow pregnant women to fly. You may or may not need a note for the flight. Also ask your doctor. Lastly, make sure your destination is safe to be in during pregnancy. Good luck! 🍀

You have to ask your doctor. Not us. You may have some medical issues we don't know about. Or maybe a high risk. But I never heard you can travel during pregnancy.

I fly almost every week for work - you are good up until 30 some weeks depending on your doctor and the airline 
My doc gave me up until 34/36 weeks

I flew from the UK to New York when I was 27 weeks and the doctor said they'd be happy for me to fly up till 30 weeks, as most airlines won't let you fly after that. My doctor recommended wearing flight (compression) socks that really helped with swelling, to drink plenty of water and to get up & walk around as much as possible xx

Different airlines have different rules for what the cutoff is so check with your carrier! You should be okay if you're before 30something weeks though.

I did transatlantic at 9w, then shorter European hops at 15, 18, and 25 weeks. I made sure my insurance coverage worked in the places I visited and have a scan of my most important medical records accessible via Dropbox on my mobile devices in case something happened.

You can fly up until your 3rd trimester. It never hurts to ask your doctor just in case. But it's okay to. I'll be flying in a few days and I'll be 21 weeks, doctor said it was fine.
