Has anyone here every been diagnosed with Listeria?
This is my third pregnancy and I have a stomach like a rock. I haven't thrown up ever while pregnant and not in the past 6 years.
2 nights ago my husband and I opened some layered bean dip from Costco and we both had slight tummy aches that night. Next morning, he threw up but attributed it to stress. We ate some more last night and I began feeling pretty awful. My stomach cramped up and I went to bed early.
I was up all night with vomiting and diarrhea 7 times.
I'm very weak, I've lost 3 pounds (probably mostly water) since yesterday and ache everywhere.
We called our midwives and triage nurses and were told to check for fever. I have a fever and horrible body aches and pains. They recommended bed rest and lots of Pedialyte to recover electrolytes.
Everything on the internet says for Listeria you must be on antibiotics has anyone else been through this?
I'm rarely one to get nervous and a pretty easy going mama, but the severity of the vomiting has me really worried.
