Do you have to diet before a glucose test?

I have my 6th month glucose test on Thursday and I don't know if there are stuff I shouldn't eat days before? Are you supposed to diet? They didn't tell me anything, just that I don't have to eat anything 8 hours before the test! Any advice? Thanks! ^^

You should eat normally other than what they told you to do with regard to the 8 hours.

You don't have to change your diet beforehand. If they said don't eat 8 hours before then just do that.

Don't load up on sugar (cookies candy etc) a couple days before the test. It can accumulate in your body and effect the test, although they don't tell you that. But eating normal meals and carbs is fine.  I ate a protein only meal the morning of my 1 hr, just 2 hardboiled eggs.

You should definitely eat before! Just don't eat anything with a lot of carbs or sugars

My doc told me not to go without eating, but dont eat something with a lot of carbs like cereal, oatmeal, etc. more than 3hrs before my appointment.
