Is drinking wine while pregnant safe? (Not doing it nor will I, just curious as to what others think)

The way I see it, NO amount of alcohol is safe while pregnant. If eating sugar or drinking a cold beverage makes the baby move (which it does for me) and those things go right through the placenta then I would stay away from alcohol. It just makes me wonder what that would do to a baby no matter how small.

I think a little wine is fine. My partner doesn't share the same views so I am respecting his wishes and not partaking while pregnant

Some doctors say it is fine but after studying Fetal Alcohol Syndrome in school I was not comfortable risking that. I had the occasional extremely small sip here and there if I was tasting something my husband was drinking, but that is it.
