There is no such thing as "sociopathy". It is not a mental illness and I don't know where the word came from. Literally one of my biggest pet peeves. However, usually when people say sociopathic they mean antisocial personality disorder. I dated someone in my teens who was diagnosed with this when they turned 18 (minors can't be diagnosed with personality disorders). Honestly, he was a pretty great boyfriend most of the time, but he did some weird things.

Yep when I was 14 till I was 16. He verbally abused me, threatened to beat me, cheated, like I was so scared of him. I was scared of what he could do to me but I "loved" him so much and didn't want to hurt him like people have in the past so I stayed and was stupid then got my life fucked up. I'm now a little bi-polar and I have abandonment issues (not just from him) it's hard to keep my mind at peace. The things he use to say always come to surface and try to ruin things that's going good for me.

I dated a guy who I wonder if he was a sociopath (the symptoms very much match up with his behavior).

He's no longer allowed within 50 feet of me because I had to get a no contact order for abuse and stalking.
