My 5 week old will only sleep in the swing! Is this okay?

I just read an article saying babies should not even sleep in a swing, which is insane. I don't leave my daughter unattended in her swing, but I do let her sleep in it during the day while I'm in the same room.

My son is 6 weeks old and will only sleep on his side or belly (held) obviously I keep a close eye on him but he hates sleeping in his back on his back he will sleep for 10 minutes max...being held or on his side on his nippy he will sleep for 3 hours so I kinda wish mine would sleep in a swing !

I only say no because the Chair is curved and can mess up their spine but mines fall asleep in the chair then I transfer him to his crib , amazingly he still be in the curled up position then even out once on his back

I would ask your pediatrician. My son is a month old and will only sleep in his rock n play. My pediatrician said it's perfectly fine at this age. I sleep in the same room right next to him.

My daughter sleeps in her swing at night but she's right next to our bed so I always wake up with the smallest sound from her. And she Cosleeps with us as well
