Why my baby can pass gas so easily during the day but at night he cries and grunts and seems SO uncomfortable for hours because he can't seem to get his farts out?? And sometimes it doesn't matter what I try, nothing helps! Why does his gas seem so much harder to pass in the evening??

My lo is going through the same phase and we went in to pedi to ask and she said that at night all of our digestive systems slows down especially the intestines.. so any gas present in the intestines take more time to pass at night due to very slow movement of the organ at night which makes baby bloated and uncomfortable.. trying cycling the legs and massaging may help the intestines to work a bit faster to pass the gas.

My daughter was the same way for a few weeks. The only thing I found to help was to have her sleep on a slight angle and to have gripe water before bed.
