pump & dump?

How long do you guys wait to pump and dump after having a drink or cigarette? I've pumped and dumped twice already since, am I good? lol

Answer

For drinking you don't actually have to dump any more, that's an old recommendation. You just have to wait till you sober up before feeding. The alcohol is metabolized out of your milk at the same rate as the rest if your body (You just can't pump while drinking and feed that milk to the baby).
I'm not sure about smoking though, that may be different.
