I need some advice on my pregnancy announcement... my husband and I was going to tell my in-laws, with his siblings, that we are expecting over a nice dinner for this upcoming weekend. It is inbetween his parents bdays so we thought it would be perfect and they would least expect it.

Well... we got a call this morning that his mom's father died over the weekend. The funeral is going to be Friday or Saturday. I just wonder if Saturday is just going to be emotionally exhausting for everyone and that it is not the best time. Should I wait a week? Should I tell her later this week so that she has some good news in her life (my friend thought this would be a good idea)? Should I wait so it may be a more happy time?

Please understand it isn't about me, I just want to be sensitive to everyone's feelings. It's just a bad situation all around so I'm not sure what to do. 😔

Edit: I think I'm set on waiting a week. I'm busting at the seams, but what is one more week.
