Excessive walking cause labor?

I am almost 36 weeks and must have walked multiple miles today (speed walking most of the time around my work) by the end of the day my lower abdonen is sore and I can feel baby pushing down. Does a lot of walking cause lavor to happen earlier?

It can cause contractions but it doesnt necessarily bring on labor. Unless your body is ready for labor, nothing will put you in labor.

Listen to your body. Walking in a non high risk pregnancy is very beneficial. If, you're aching, you need to slow down and pause and sit for a little while. Some achiness and pressure is normal at this stage but if it becomes painful and doesn't ease up you should call

Well the doctor tells you to start walking and having sex both induce labor!!!

At least that's what my doctor told me with my first.

I've been walking over 5 miles a day since 35 weeks. I'm due tomorrow and am still not even dilated or effaced.
