Gel nails, are they ok during any labour situation?

Does anyone know if it's a problem to have gel polish on nails when you go to hospital in labour. I've heard if you have a caesarean it can be a problem as they may need to put an oxygen clip on your finger but being induced then having a normal labour is it ok?

I remember they took off my nail polish when I got induced with my son. So it is probably not a good idea but you might just want to ask your dr or midwife and get their professional opinion.

French is fine I had a surgical procedure they said cause they could see my fingers and through for coloring fine
