How do you guys choose which bottles or pacifiers to use?

Question

Along with most other things like diapers...
Do you just choose a brand and hope your baby likes it? What are your deciding factors? 
Also, feel free to let me know what you chose and why! 
I'm leaning towards trying Sams club brand diapers at first. And I think I'm liking the Advent natural bottles.

With my son we used the cheap walmart or target bottles. Either the Gerber brand which is 3 bottles for a few bucks or the great value brand. Unless you decide to breast feed, there is absolutely no point in buying the expensive bottles that claim to be natural like the mothers breast. My sister just had a baby and she refused to take the expensive bottles. She bought every single bottle on the market until I told her to just try the cheap ones. Of course it worked but every baby is different. I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd and I bought the cheap bottles again.

I'll probably go with Medela bottles since my pump will also be Medela. I already have an Avent bottle I got in a goodie bag at a baby convention and it looks nice too. I really like the Soothie pacifiers for breastfed babies so I'm going with those. And then I'm doing cloth diapers so I'll probably go with a few Alva ones since they're very affordable and work well for most babies. Once I know they do for mine I will order more, if they don't I'll try another brand/set up.

I chose tommee tippee bcz at the time that was the brand that was most like a natural boob nipple/shape and I needed my son to be able to take a bottle while I went to class. He's 7 now and there more options to choose from for this baby.

We really like Avent bottles but I've had many friends who loved Dr Browns. As for pacifiers, we loved MAM and became the only ones we used! It's all personal preference and what works for your baby!
