FR Ovulation Test Question!!!

Ok random question......AF came today and I went and bought a different brand of ovulation tests than I have been currently using. I bought the First Response ones and the directions state to start testing on day 5 from the first day you spotted or started your period. Strangely enough, I spotted the last 4 days, making today not only day 5, but the day I started my period. So, I'm confused. Do I test today (little late for that now) or 5 days from today!?!?
