Cost of a baby? 👶

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Let's not count the cost of the hospital stay or daycare. 
How much does a baby cost in one year? 
I would love real life examples of how much you spend on your babies in one year, or how you've made it by/ things you do to save money on baby things.

304,480 is apparently the last check average for middle class us citizens per year. However, my nephew costs more than that. Plus, you have to consider that sometimes babies can be born with disorders and things like that.

Well I breastfed the first 4 months so that didn't cost me anything other than storage bags. But after that he had to be on a formula that was $25 a can and he goes through a can every 3-4 days so that's adds up. Diapers we didn't have to buy any until he was 7 months because we did 2 diaper raffles at our gender reveal and baby shower, he'll be a year old this month and we still haven't had to buy wipes becaus we got so many at showers. That's mainly what I asked for was diapers and wipes. We got a bunch or lotion and baby wash as well as gifts so I haven't had to buy that either. Clothes is another thing. He grows so fast I feel like I'm always having to buy clothes. When he was itty bitty everybody was excited to buy clothes but now that he's bigger nobody buys clothes anymore lol

With my little sister, we had a lot of hand me downs from family and my stepdads boss so that helped. Formula was definitely expensive and constantly buying diapers and wipes and clothes. I think besides daycare, those are the most expensive because it's a constant thing.

Also I save money on clothes by shopping at a children's consignment store instead of buying them all brand new, if carters has a good sale I'll buy brand new but if not I don't. He's just gonna spit up and get them dirty anyways so I'm not throwing a ton of money into them right now lol
