visteril for anxiety?

Has anyone been prescribed visteril for anxiety? I went to the ER last night for bad chest pains and he told me I needed to take something to calm down and prescribed this three times a day. He told me I needed to schedule an appointment with a recommended doctor before it runs out.

Looking it up, it says it's like Benadryl on steroids?? I can't be drowsy with a two year old..

I was prescribed that for anxiety too. Same dosage and everything. The drug continually releases serotonin to the brain for a calming effect. I felt like a zombie on it. Its a common antipsychotic.
