when should i apply for a job?? 🤔

i'm turning 16 on may 2nd and i want to have a job right when i'm able to work, so when should i start applying? i don't want to start applying too early but i want to immediately go to work 💸 hahah.  what's the best place to work? & any advise?

U can start applying now. If they give u an option to attach a resume or work history details at that point u can mention that at time of hire u will be of legal age to work without a permit.

On work history information: just put house cleaning/babysitting and give ur mom aunt or moms friend as a reference

It sounds super dumb, obviously at 16 you won't have much work history, but it looks good to the employer the fact ur taking a simple application serious. Having a resume on file is helpful at any point in life, might as well get it started now

Before anything make sure you get your working papers.. not sure if you will need them where you live but my niece had to get working papers prior to getting hired for her job and she is 15

The only places that usually hire so young and without any other job experience is fast food or restaurants my first job was sonic and it was a great first job I made way more money than I needed being so young I learned how to save and got me a 600 prom dress my senior year my advice would be somewhere like that and save money for something bigger than food lol like a car if your parents can't afford one for you. But I'd apply right before you turn 16 like a week.

Most places don't hire 15 year olds but I got my first job when I was 15 at Burger King. When you get applications ask the age requirement. Never hurts to put in an application and some places like fast food will hire you if you are close enough to 16, that's why I got hired at Burger King. You can only work so much though because there are child labor laws. I'm not sure what places hire at 15 anymore because I'm not almost 19.
