How old is too old to be trying/ or to have a baby?

I was just recently reading through the Ripley's Believe it or not. A woman was well into her 60's and had a baby with her husband... I am guessing she never hit menopause and was still fertile, there wasn't much detail. However what do you think?

When you hit menopause I guess. Aslong as you can love and provide for your child, I don't think the age matters.

I think like 45 just cuz I think like you would want to be healthy and energetic enough to meet possible grandkids. I used to think earlier, but a lot of women have a career first and wait to have kids and not everyone get married by 30.. when it's your time, it's your time. As long as the mom and the baby are healthy it doesn't really matter.

It's ok to say well I would like my last child by the age of 35 or whatever but for some of us it just doesn't happen like that, I have been trying for over 5 years now so things sometimes just don't happen as planned. I would have ideally had another child by now but I'm having to keep trying, each to their own and as long as mother and baby are healthy, the mother is properly capable of looking after the child then I just can't put an AGE on it.

I had my oldest at 22. Youngest at 39. I find that people that are overly concerned about what I'm doing aren't paying attention to themselves. I don't care if or when other people have their children.

I don't care what other people do. One of my moms friends who is almost 50 is pregnant with her 6th child right now lol. But personally, I'm about to be 23 in may and my son is due in August- this is my second child biologically as I also have a stepdaughter so our 3rd child and I will have one more after this and then stop probably around 25-26. My daughters are 2 years and 9 months apart (to the day Jan 9,2012 & Oct 9,2014) and my son and my youngest daughter will be 2 years and 9 months ish apart as well because I'm due August 3rd. I love this age difference if you can't tell lol. I'll probably stick to that and then have my tubes tied because me and my hubby only want 4 kids. But that's just me personally, if you're healthy and not menopausal, you can have a kid whenever the hell you want.

My mom had her last at 46. We're spread over a 22 year period. My little sis is the most beautiful of us all, and the smartest.
