We are having a little girl in May and I have expressed my opinion to my husband that I do not want everything pink. Her room is light green and her wallpaper border has blue, green, pink, purple, yellow and orange in it. Her crib is a dark cherry color. After the room was put together my SO started freaking out saying this is a boy's room! There is not enough pink in here! I am like wtf? She has pink outfits, and toys and headbands. Some girls don't even like pink. I don't want her to be smothered in it. I tried to have a reasonable conversation with him about it and he said he is afraid she won't want to be a girl if she is exposed to gender neutral surroundings. I was like blown away. Then I started laughing asking him if he was being serious.

Ladies am I wrong or is my husband freaking out over nothing?

I do not believe in the depths of my soul that growing up in a gender neutral environment will change your identity at all.
