boyfriend leaving for college

So I'm a junior in high school and my boyfriends a senior. His original plan was to stay here for 2 years and get his regular classes out of they way. But now he changed him plan and wants to go off so he can do rotc and get most of his college paid for. The college he would be going to is only an hour and 30 min away, but I'm still sad. I feel like I'm going to be stressing about what he's doing all the time. He said he's all in for us to be in a relationship while he's at college and that he's come back on the weekends and for breaks. I just don't know what to do. I really wish I was a year old so I could go with him):  Have any of y'all gone through this? What was your experience?
