How do you get your man motivated to want marriage and kids and a good career?

You can't. You can't make someone want the same things you want. You can't make someone be ready if they aren't ready. Just like I'm sure he can't make you change your mind about wanting it/being ready for it. The only thing you can do is evaluate the relationship as it stands. Do you love this person enough to wait until they want it? Maybe have a chat about it and see where both of you are coming from. If in the future you both want the same thing. If yall are never going to be on the same page, can you handle that without resentment or would you be better off finding someone who wants the same things you do.

You can't. You need to find someone that ones the same things as yourself. You can NOT change a mans mind. You are going to just push him away
