Diclegis, how long did it take to work?

Hi moms,  I have been extremely sick and dry heaving/throwing up.  So I called my doctor and she prescribed me Diclegis.  I used it for the first time last night and it didn't do a thing.  I was still up all night dry heaving and vomiting.  For those who have tried it, how long did it take to work? Should I give it a few more days to work before calling my doctor?

Mine kicked in after abt 2 nights. But I was only suffering severe nausea no actual vomiting or dry heaving. But it did wonders for me. Hang in there and give it a real shot. Good luck.

Mine took a few days but only worked for a few days as well. I stopped taking them after a week.

Took mine close to two days to kick in fully. I was taking it morning, noon, and night. I only needed it for about a month. But, I did go through severe morning sickness for about two months. I was scared to try medicine but so happy I did.

You may have to up the dose, first to two at night, then add 1 in morning, then add 1 at mid day. But stop wherever you hit the point that your nausea is managed.

3 days. It's also an extended release medication. If I forget to take it a day it takes me a good 2-3 days to stop feeling sick again. It has been a lifesaver as I'm 23 weeks and the nausea is still going strong! I'm not sure what your instructions say, but on my bottle it says two pills before bed for 3 nights, if still nauseous add one pill in the morning starting the 4th day. Some days I have to take that 4th pill even. Hope it kicks in soon and you start feeling better soon!

It took a few days to fully kick in for me. After that it was a lifesaver. For the first few days on it, I also wore sea bands, which I found helped a lot.
