TMI holding onto hope

Hey ladies! Little backstory my husband & I have been ttc since September 2016, my period was due today, i have not gotten my period however *tmi* I am having quite a bit of brown/ rusty colored discharge that has a very strong smell to it. I know most of you will tell me to take a test but I want to wait a little while longer to see if I get my actual period or not ( I think I'm just not quite ready for the disappointment) I typically have light spotting before getting my period (this is different) & I usually have pretty intense cramps in the days leading up to my period and I really haven't had those either. Has anyone experienced something like this & you were in fact pregnant? Thanks for reading 😊 baby dust to all!
