contractions?

I've been having horrible menstrual like cramping in my whole stomach and uterus since about 11 when they woke me up. I did have sex tonight so I'm not sure if it's that or what! It's 1:30 in the morning and I'm 2 hours from the hospital. Should I be an ass and call them this early or wait? They are pretty moderate but at the same time hard to sit through and very frequent but sometimes slightly inconsistent
