It works when you're both 100% committed to the relationship and making it work. It's not easy but I really believe that if you truly love eachother you can make distance work. My boyfriend and I are have been trying for a little while now. We were broken up for 6 months initially but that wasn't working at all. So now we're doing the LDR thing. We don't see eachother often and we're both crazy busy so talking can be hard. But we're making it work. We've got a lot of trust, love and loyalty holding us together. I believe we can survive the next 3ish years.

For some yes, others not so much. Worked out for me that's for sure. Depends on a number of factors, not just distance and time...it has a lot to do with the people IN the relationship.

Well, my ex and I worked for years.  It we divided since we couldn't see each other enough, we both decided to just be friends.
