insurance issues

So this might be a little jumbled and all over the place.
In March of 2015 I found out I was pregnant, had a miscarriage in April 2015 at almost 8 weeks. Ever since then we've been trying to conceive. Almost two years later and nothing...
Getting pregnant and having a baby is literally on my mind all the time.
I finally after almost two years made a doctors appointment for the gyno. I went to the gyno and she said from what she can see all of my female anatomy looks great. She did the swap and told me that because it's been over a year of trying with no outcome that she would refer me to a infertility clinic. I finally got in touch with the fertility clinic and they said my insurance (kaiser) only covers 50% and that I would have to pay $165 just for the initial appointment, which is just speaking to the doctor. After that I would have to pay around $600 depending on the test that the doctor requires.... I just can't afford that price. I just bought a new car and were in the process of buying a house. Has anyone else had this issue? Are there ways around this? Are there other infertility clinics that I can go to with my insurance? Im not sure if I can go to any clinic or if I specifically have to go to a kaiser clinic because I have kaiser? Does anyone have any tips on trying to increase your chances of getting pregnant?
