Senior abuse

I reported my patient being abused by one of the private duty nurses. Took her to the hospital because she was severely sick and her whole right arm was swollen black/blue and purple with the skin ripped off. I broke down crying upset wondering why no one else reported this. The nursing agency said they will punish every one involved and the person that's responsible will get it. I work weekends 7a-3p weekends only and was told that happened on a Wednesday. Her POA doesn't even care,its all bout money with everyone. She's 90 years old no family,kids or anything her husband died a year ago. I come in today just to see she have been neglected again by same nurses aides. So the company only wrote them up that's it😱 so I just reported the company and all the workers involved. I believe if i didn't step up and report everyone this sweet lady will end getting killed.

Now my company is upset. But I really don't give a shit. Ms L life is more important then their company. She has no family here so i contacted her niece since no one else did. Thanks everyone. I do home care help patients in their homes and she gets 24hr care. Its so sad
