cerclage anyone?

So I am 13 weeks today and I had a procedure to put in a cerclage a few days ago. Has anyone else had one? Thoughts on it? My cervix measured at 17mm... That's pretty scary to me😖

Had mine placed at 11 weeks (currently 14) and had it placed at 12 weeks with my daughter. I lost my son at 18w5d after a failed emergent cerclage. Try and take it easy and lay down as much as possible to keep pressure off of your cervix, if you can. And ask your doctor about progesterone supplements. Hopefully it will do its job and hold it closed for you!

So far mine is measuring fine, I've had some of it removed due to cervical cancer, but our next appointment to measure is Monday.

I had one during my last pregnancy, we waited until 18 weeks as I was out of the country around 13-14 weeks, everything went fine. I'm having one put in this coming Thursday, and I'll be almost 14 weeks. This time around I haven't had any cervix scans to check the length, we are going ahead with the cerclage since there's usually a rule of, 'once a cerclage, always a cerclage'. I won't have a scan of the baby or cervix either until the end of 14 weeks :( Hoping this cerclage surgery goes as smoothly as the last!

I had mine put in at 12 weeks with this pregnancy. My other 2 babies i had it placed as well due to incompetent cervix. I was on bedrest with the other 2. But so far i am ok. My appt to check cervix length is on Tuesday
