I was always depressed on the pill. It also made me gain a shit ton of weight

I was on the pill for two years and I hated every minute of it. I had terrible migraines and I was extremely emotional/moody. I even tried a few different types to see if it would help but it didn't. So I got off it and have been now for almost 3 years now. Never going back ✌🏼

I was on the pill for 4-5 months, but stopped because of the side effects. Made me very emotional, some days I was fine but most days I could've cried and for no reason! Started having "break-through bleeding" which I contacted my doctor about and she said it would stop after my body adjusted to the pill. Well it didn't. So not only was I getting my period every month (which was way worse btw, more cramping/bleeding) I was bleeding at random times! My main reason for going on the pill was pregnancy prevention, but because I was bleeding so many days in the month my BF and I weren't even having sex much! So I stopped and will never go back on hormonal birth control. It's been 2 years now.

I got so depressed I couldn't take it. Tried 3 different birth controls in less than 6 months. Tried the pill, rod, and ring. My body is still recovering. I can't do hormones. 🙅🏼😷

I hated the pill. It made me depressed all the time and moody. I couldn't get aroused at all. I was turned off by everything. It also made me bloated.

I've been on a low dose combination pill for the past 4 months and it's actually helped my mood. I was prone to awful mood swings and anxiety before and during my period (I would almost always have break downs), now things are more leveled out for me and I haven't had bad mood swings.

I just started the pill a few weeks ago and my mood isn't super bad just feels kinda like when I'm on my period. My biggest problem is I'm in. A constant state of nausea...

I tried one pill and I was just a horrible person. It was awful. I was always in a bad mood and the tiniest thing set me off and that is very out of character for me. I switched to a lower dose pill and I'm completely normal. The first month I was a bit up and down while my body adjusted but since then I'm back to my happy normal self. Talk to your doctor- you might need a lower dose or maybe you need to try a different method of birth control.

In the very beginning my mood was AWFUL but that hasn't been a problem since.

I found the pill numbed me from emotion....never felt overly happy or overly sad. I don't think I cried once in 10 months. Didn't really realize it until I went off of it.
