Has anyone ever had a relationship end and then reconnect successfully ending up in marriage? What made it work the second (or third) time around?

Yes!!  We were together for a few years.  He was an ass, staying out all weekend, doing his own thing, never participating in the relationship.  I told him one day that I was done, and I moved back home to North Carolina.  A year passes with extremely minimal texting, then one day I get a random text from him asking "what are you doing right now?"  I thought this was an odd question so I responded "Im working".  (I was bartending) to which his response was "would you like some help?"........and then the door opened and he walked in.  He walked right up to me and said "its been a long year, but I just drove across the country (from tx to nc) to tell you that I am sorry, and that I cant leave here without you because I love you". We spent a weekend reconnecting.  A month later I quit my job, packed my bags and moved to TX.  The same year he proposed and here we are three years later, happier than ever!!  This only worked put because we both recognized our own issues and corrected them before trying to get back together.  Life has been fantastic ever since.  I truly do not have a complaint in the world!!

Yes. My husband and I broke it off for a little over a year. Well it's a very long complicated story. I met him while he was going through a divorce. His "wife" called one day and said she didn't want the divorce so they got back together and had a 3rd baby. He and I had zero communication as that was his family at the time and I understood that. Well one day I ran into him getting my oil changed and he told me she filed for divorce again and he was done. We got back together and have been married almost 4 years with our rainbow baby on the way!
