Has anyone lost a parent to suicide?

Almost my step dad and my mom were in a bad spot in their marriage he went away for job training hes a police officer she was hysterical got one of his guns and tried to figure out how to get the lock off and load it she tried to get me to help but i played dumb even though i know exactly how to do it since i used to help my step dad clean them i was up all night waiting to hear the gun go off it never did i got ready for school at 3am and was out the door by 4am i didnt want to be in the house so i walked to school was there by 4:45 i waited until second period to go to the resource officer and the nurse they called local police and ambulance and she went to the hospital without a fuss my step dads step mom picked me up from school and took me to the hospital to see her they commited her by force and court order for 2 weeks the police took all the guns out of the house and notified my step dad he could get them when he returned i was only 17 when that happened
