Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome?

Question

Hey ladies, has anyone been diagnosed with PCOS? I recently have been doing research on it, and I fit the symptoms, so I scheduled an appointment with my doctor. Can anyone tell me how it affected them? Or if you struggle with infertility? I'm just trying to figure out what's going on with my cycle. Thanks ladies!

Not me but my 13 year old cousin was diagnosed. She carries a lot of weight despite eating healthy, bad cramps, super heavy period, a lot of hair everywhere (poor thing is getting it on her chin and neck).

I was diagnosed with this too. Basically how it's affected me is from extremely irregular periods and very heavy bleeding when I do get my periods. I also have an ovarian tumor so that adds to the bleeding, but my doctor said the irregular periods is due to the cysts. I don't really know how she can tell but that's a common symptom I guess.

I was diagnosed when I was 12-13 I think I had like one period all year , it's been awhile lol, I'm 17 now and I would say I didn't start​ getting any other symptoms til I was 14 , and I was already 150 lbs , I was constantly shaving my legs like every 2-3 days , and I had/have the worst acne 😒 it's not all over my face but it's the cystic kind where it's under the skin and they get big and hurt... I had to be put on meds for my acne. Right now I'm my heaviest I've been 175 lbs and having POCS makes it so much harder to lose weight and it sucks... I wish they'd have a medicine to help get rid of it other than give birth control....
