When does your Dr start checking you?

At how many week's does the Dr start checking for dialation? 
If i ask at my next apt (36wks) to be checked do you think she would?

There is no benefit to bring checked. In the absence of labor It means nothing
You could walk around dilated to a5 for wks or be completely closed and high and deliver in a matter of hours.
It gives false hope and false worry. It also increases the risk of infection.

Mine doesn't unless you're contracting or having other issues, or you're past your due date.

My doctor checks every week past 35 weeks.

If rather not be, because I don't want to get my hopes up. My sister was dilated to a 3 for 3 weeks before she had my niece...so what's the point really.

They start checking at the 36 week appointment at my doctor. But you can decline them if you want.

Mine checks at 36 weeks just to make sure everything is okay. Every other week from there on is optional. I'm personally going to ask not to check just because I don't want to get my hopes up. Dialation doesn't necessarily mean you're going into labor.
