BF and I went and looked at rings over the weekend so I could choose my setting & he goes back Saturday to look at the diamond that the jeweler is bringing in from their San Fran location. I am torn because I want a 2ct center, however at close to 15K I do not feel comfortable spending that much right now. So the one he is going to look at is 1.5ct at 9K. Still pricey, but not near 15K pricey. This had lead me to look into diamond alternatives, although my BF is not really into me getting a different stone just because of the cheaper price. 

Do you think there will be much of a noticeable difference in the size of the 1.5/2ct?
