Pronouns, gender specific compliments like "beautiful and handsome"
So I'm really trying to learn more about the LGBTQ community. I'm seeing more and more people post pics showing of their SO and I would like to know, if your identifying as a certain gender, or you have chosen to use pronouns. When giving a compliment to a non gender conforming couple, or for instance an androgynous female. Are gender specific compliments such as beautiful or handsome offensive?
To my knowledge people use beautiful for girls and handsome for boys.
I get the whole pronoun thing, I just want to avoid offending couples. I really don't know if it goes that deep into compliments or just when ur addressing someone
